Introduction to Dreamwork

Hello Dreamer!

Each night, we all have access to the Otherworld through sleep. An Otherworld or state of consciousness we can only encounter, ironically, through surrendering consciousness.

Now let’s just take a moment to truly appreciate this phenomenon of dreaming and the adventures we have in the imaginal world that are so unlike our typical everyday experiences. The access we have to this abaton – what the Greeks call the inaccessible place, where we encounter dragons, helpful animals, archetypes, demons…all things which in no way touch the banalities of the everyday.

Journeys to the Otherworld are not solely reserved for Romantic poets, Siberian shamans or alien abductees. Everyone needs some contact with the Otherworld otherwise our lives are not deeply or fully lived.

Dreams are important because they provide us with an escape from materialism and offer an opportunity for soul making through the mystical participation of images encountered through dreaming. Dreams are part of a world that is alive and encountering dream images as living presences has strong therapeutic and alchemical effects. Dreams are the raw material, the living tissue of our psyche and knowing how to deeply explore and work with our dreams can conjure an insight, a response, an antidote, a shift.

Every dream is an act of genius, a moment of enchantment and a connection to something sacred.

Carl Jung

So, let’s fall into dream – into the in-between cracks and lose ourselves in the spirit of the work. Dreamwork when practised regularly becomes sacred work and an act of rebellion in a world consumed by the superficial.

This course is designed to be your guide through the mapless terrain of dreams and provides a step by step approach to analysing dreams with practice videos based on real dreams, working with dream images and presences, somatic and embodied dreamwork, nightmares and trauma dreams.

Bonus material includes optimising our dream state, how dreams facilitate learning and creativity and the mysteries of the amygdala.

Watch the video which contains a brief introduction about what’s included in the course and how best to work with the modules.
